NEW PROJECT: SMILEY BAGS As we mentioned earlier in the term, for many years we have supported the Christmas Shoebox Appeal, but this year we have decided to make a change. We are acutely aware that in a world where there is so much luxury amid so much poverty, those of us who have, need to share with those who don’t. We had a super response for Harvest gifts for Louth Community Larder and today we are sending home a leaflet about a new project idea, Samara’s Aid Appeal, which is being supported by Louth Churches Together for Refugees. This could be a lovely project for a family to do over half term and a chance to think of those facing conflict and hardship in the Middle East. The leaflet explains how the project works. Each Smiley Bag filled with toiletries, underwear, toys and love will bring a little joy to one child. So, do you have a small drawstring 'gym' bag spare which you could fill? Smiley Bags can be brought to school after the holiday and we will make sure they get to Louth Methodist Church by the 11th November. Thank you ... See MoreSee Less
